Costs for all meat classes elevated by a p.c or extra between February 2022 and March 2022. Whereas wholesale beef costs decreased by 3.6 p.c in March 2022, retail beef costs elevated by 1.0 p.c. Wholesale pork costs, together with port congestion, contributed to a 1.4-percent improve in retail pork costs in March 2022. In 2022, beef and veal costs are actually predicted to extend between 6.0 and 7.0 p.c; pork costs are predicted to extend between 4.0 and 5.0 p.c, and different meat costs are predicted to extend between 3.5 and 4.5 p.c. The combination classes of meats, poultry, and fish are predicted to extend between 5.5 and 6.5 p.c, and meats are predicted to extend between 4.5 and 6.5 p.c in 2022.
